What is Workspace?
Workspace is space provided by photoshop where we can save location and size of panels ,keyboard shortcuts and menu settings. Workspace is basically arrangement of panels windows , bars and other elements.We can create as many workspace as we want, each having different panels settings and keyboard shortcut settings.
Workspaces are present at top right corner in application bar of
photoshop.There are generally 5-6 workspaces present in photoshop by default. We can switch from one work space to other by clicking on name of workspace.
Why we should create workspaces?
For image editing we use layers,Histogram, Mask panels most frequently.While for digital painting we need brushes,brush presets panel frequntly ,we hardly use histogram panel.So if we create two separate workspaces, one for digital painting and other for image editing,this will save lots of time. So we should spend few minutes in creating and configuring workspaces.

How to create Workspace ?
- When you click "New Workspace..." ,a dialogue box will pop up. See following snapshot
- Give appropriate name to workspace.
- Keyboard shortcuts and Menu setting are optional. If you want to save keyboard shortcuts and Menus also , check them and click save.
- This will create new workspace .
- Now whatever setting you do in this workspace , these settings are limited to this workspace only. It will not change settings of other workspaces.
- Workspace automatically save changes that we make.We can create as many workspace as we want.
