 Adobe Photoshop is a powerful photo editing software produced by Adobe.Programming language used in photoshop is C++.www.adobe.com/photoshop is official website of photoshop.Till today 6 versions of Adobe photoshop were released, latest release is Adobe Photoshop CS6,released on 21 march.Photoshop is mainly available for Windows user,but adobe also released Android and ios version in 2011.we can also run photoshop on linux using "wine" application.
      Photoshop was discovered by Thomas Knoll in 1987,a Phd student of  university of Michigan.His brother John Knoll also helped him to develop photoshop.  Later Adobe purchased licence of photoshop in 1988.Adobe released first Photoshop CS in October 2003.
      Today,Photoshop is available in more than 25 languages .Photoshop supports English,Chinese,Portuguese,Danish,Czech,Brazilian,French,Finish,Dutch,Norwegian,German,Italian,Hungarian,Polish,Japanese,Romanian,Russian,Swedish,Spanish,Turkish,Ukrainian etc.
      Photoshop give many tools like cropping ,measuring,painting,typing,retouching.
Photoshop also has following facilities :

• Spot healing brush
• 3D rendering
• Conversion of gradient maps to 3D objects
• Shadow catcher
• Color and Explosure adjustment

      Photoshop Versions:

• CS1

     CS1 was released by Adobe in october 2003.This was first commercial product of photoshop.CS1 has facilities like manipulation of raw media,implementation of layer comps

• CS2

     After success of CS1,adobe released CS2 in May 2005.CS2 has extra brushes like Spot Healing brushes which are used to overcome common problems like lence distortion,red eye.CS2 made photo editing very easy.

• CS3

     CS3 was released in April,2007.New tools like image stitching,Black & White adjustment,clone stamp tool,smart filters.CS3 was available for  $649 and compatible to windows vista and windows Xp.

• CS4

    CS4 was released on 15 October 2008 and available for $699 and also compatible for Mac OS.Photoshop added faster 3D engine to photshop.

• CS5

    CS5 is most famous photoshop version. CS5 was launched on 12 April 2010.CS5 included 3 dimensional brushes,mixer brushes.Price of CS5 is $699 .

• CS6

    This is latest version of photoshop released on 12 March 2012.Photoshop CS6 is fully featured image editing software available for $670 on Amazon.com
